Preschool Ministries
Praise Pointe provides preschool programs for children 2 ½ through 5, along with before and after care for children enrolled in our preschool classes. This program is called Extended Care. We offer several choices in the preschool classes both a.m. and p.m. Curriculum is based on age appropriate developmental experiences. These include but are not limited to social play, art, music, motor development, and literature. Wealso take field trips each year and have "in school" programs that include Bike Safety, VisionScreening, Fire and Home Safety. Class schedules and class size vary depending on age of children.
Registration:
Some openings are still available for 2 ½, 3, 4 and 5yr old classes. Forms may be picked up in the Preschool office or are available to download here. Completed forms should be turned in at the Preschool office between 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. or mailed to 6004 Reed Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46835 attn: Preschool registration. A registration fee of $40 per child for preschool is also due at the time of registration. For the most current listing of class openings, contact the Preschool office at 485-4022.
Before and After School Care
Praise Pointe Before and After Care for school age children provides care for children K- 5th grades. We open at 6:35 am and close at 5:50 pm., Monday through Friday. We offer indoor and outdoorrecreation, study time, craft projects, creative games, and a weekly Bible lesson time. We offerbreakfast as well as an afternoon snack. This program is designed for children who are in publicschool and need a safe Christian environment prior to or following school. We follow Fort WayneCommunity School's calendar. We are closed during FWCS school vacations (Christmas, Spring break),but remain open at other times including snow days and delays, and planned teacher days. This program will close only if there is a level 2 snow emergency and vehicles are not to be on the roads, ordered by sheriff or state police.
Registration:
Registration forms are available in the Preschool office 9:00-3:00 Monday through Friday. Children may be registered any time prior to the first day of care. The registration fee is $40.00 per family.
Hours of operation:
- Morning: 6:35 a.m. - until the start of school
- Afternoon: 3:30 - 5:50 p.m.
Schools Served:
Bus service to and from Saint Joseph is provided by Fort Wayne Community Schools. Stops can be established for most schools by contacting the Transportation Department.
