Tom Heaton (Guatemala)

Mission Guatemala, Inc. was formed in the spring of 2009 to help support the missionary work of Tom Heaton in Guatemala. Tom, who is a United Methodist Pastor from the Indiana conference, has two sons adopted from Guatemala. For several years, he helped the working poor of Guatemala through the sales of fair trade crafts through a nonprofit he formed called Mayan Traditions. Profits from the sales of the crafts were returned to Guatemala to help orphanages and children's related ministries there. In the fall of 2008, Bishop Michael Coyner appointed him to do work with the poor of Guatemala. To find out more visit, http://www.missionguatemala.com/

Simba Scholarship Fund

We have continually been blessed by many faithful givers and prayers to this ministry. Praise God for this blessing to these children. We continue to receive many words of thanks from the children and their school headmasters. We had 3 new sponsors in March.

As a reminder, we doubled the number of sponsors this year and we want to double again in 2012 to over 120!! In 10 years we want to sponsor 1000!! We ask for your continued prayers and solicitations to others who may be interested in the program – friends, family, and relatives. If you want us to speak to other organizations or churches, we would welcome the opportunity to talk to you. Thank you all, for not only your financial giving, but for your prayers. All that you do is a testimony to the faith you have in the power of Christ. It also shows how much we are all connected in God's kingdom.
