At St. Joe UMC & St. Joe @ Y, we are For the Fort—committed to loving and supporting families with the heart of Christ. We believe that faith should be a journey shared across generations, and we are here to walk alongside you, no matter where you are.
Our faithful commitment to families means creating spaces where children and youth can grow in their love for Jesus. From Praise Pointe Kids to Sunday Morning Breakout, we offer engaging, age-appropriate experiences that help young hearts and minds discover God’s truth.
We strive to be fearless in providing a welcoming, safe, and encouraging community where students can ask big questions, build friendships, and find their identity in Christ.
And we believe in being fruitful—investing in the next generation so they can live out their faith boldly and impact the world around them.
Wherever your family is on its faith journey, you belong here. We can’t wait to welcome you!
DURING WORSHIP
We believe worship should be accessible and meaningful for all ages. On Sundays, children are surrounded by a safe, developmentally rich environment while parents worship with peace of mind.
Nursery (Newborn – Age 3)
Trained and background-checked staff provide a secure, nurturing space for our youngest children during all in-person worship services.
Sunday Morning Breakout (Age 4 – 5th Grade)
Children begin in worship with their families for the opening 10–15 minutes, then are dismissed to Breakout for a large-group model that includes:
-
Interactive worship
-
Games and activities
-
Crafts
-
Biblical teaching around a central theme
Curriculum aligns with the ParentCue App by Orange so families can continue learning at home through weekly videos and discussion prompts.
Our aim is to raise up children who know, love, and follow Jesus with boldness and joy.
WEEKDAY OPPORTUNITIES
Any children/youth/family is welcome to any For Families event regardless which worship service you attend!
Children (Birth–5th Grade)
Alongside nursery and Sunday Breakout, children engage in seasonal events and summer experiences such as Jingle Jam, Trunk or Treat, Easter family activities, Dance Camps, and outdoor Praise Park gatherings. These environments introduce Scripture, worship, and community in joyful, age-appropriate ways.
Students (Middle–High School)
Youth engage in hangouts, service projects, camps, and summer gatherings that foster friendship, mentoring relationships, and personal ownership of faith.
Scouting (Bethany Campus)
Our Bethany Campus hosts active scouting programs that provide leadership training, character development, outdoor adventure, and community service opportunities for children and youth.
Safe Sanctuary
We take safety with utmost seriousness. We maintain the highest standards for protecting children and vulnerable adults through:
-
Background checks for all volunteers and staff
-
Abuse-prevention training and certification
-
Two-adult leadership standards
-
Secure check-in/check-out procedures
-
Mandated reporting protocols
Our goal is for parents to know their children are loved, safe, and valued in every St. Joe environment.
